dont wait

arrived home from colorado today...... and its good to be back.

i had a new first while i was there, and i must say, i loved it.  its even up there with paintball.   i went whitewater rafting for the first time and it was an absolute blast!  anyone who is an adrenanline junky would get the utmost kick out of this.  my dad and i went through the river with rapids in the classes between 3 and 5.  for anyone who has never gone before, 5 is the highest and most dangerous.

we wore helmets and they gave us the whole schpeel about being thrown from the raft or the raft actually flipping.  i must admit, i was a tad bit nervous at first, but once you got into that freezing cold water and starting barreling down the river, it was amazing.   it was even better than six flags   : )

i would do it again in a heart beat.

alright and now that ive gotten the "ooo wow fun" part said, id like to get just a little bit mushy on this audience.

i came across a new song, 'dont wait', by dashboard confessional (which is cool in itself because that means they should be coming to concert soon, and if youve never seen dashboard, they put on a fantastic show.  whats-his-face-chris doesnt even get that whiney).  but the song was good, and the lyrics really made me think about some things.  hard.

The sky glows
I see it shining with my eyes closed
I hear your warnings but we both know
I'm gonna look at it again

Don't wait, Don't wait
The road is now a sudden sea
And suddenly, you're deep enough
To lay your armor down
To lay your armor down
To lay your armor down

You get one look
I'll show you something that the NIGHT took.
A bit to early for my own good
Now let's not speak of it again

Don't wait, Don't wait
The road is now a sudden sea
And suddenly, you're deep enough
To lay your armor down
To lay your armor down

Don't wait, Don't wait
The lights will flash and fade away
The days will pass you by
Don't wait
To lay your armor down

dont wait for some things.  if they are important to you, do them.  if something needs to be said, say it. if you want to dance on the roof in the rain, DO IT, just becareful.  so i guess in all of this nonsense, my point that i have acquired is dont wait for things for too long, too long can be too late.

so with that said, i dont know who even reads this anymore, but i just wanted to say that i care about you all. i really do.

so dont wait........... and go rafting

school ended wednesday and thursday was one of the best ways to start summer........ straight to tampa bay florida.

we had our second paintball tourney of the season this week and it was fabulous.  the weather was wonderful.... believe it or not, i got a tan. tampa is gorgeous. there were even flamingos chillin in the creeks on the side of the highway.  pretty sweet.

our games went great.  we beat some of the top teams in our division and prevented several from entering the finals.  the team even got to hang out with the VIP guys from england with the Angel company.

a pic right after we beat the femme fatales.

a teammates custom-brushed mask.

straight up dirtyness.  jesse is our other front player.  we shot lots of suckers together.

a little bit of fun......

so the trip was a blast and i cant wait until the next one......boston.

oh, we will be on ESPN so keep an eye out for us.

hope everyone has a good week and a great start to summer.

okay, so this one is different....... and a little hypocritical...........

as enticed as our population has become over internet related weblogs , forums and etc., i am beginning to find myself somewhat perturbed.

dont get me wrong, the new ways of communicating that have been created are a definite step up and have some awesomely cool attributes.  but they are starting to lack what was intended........communication.

i know staying in touch isnt always easy, most of the time it is not. but what happened calling someone just to talk to them, person to person, voice to voice, to see how they are?   or to have a long, worth while discussions that can have absolutely no point but contentment or even the ones that make your day because you know some one is listening. seems like people are making less of an effort to be social now.   call me crazy, but you cant tell too much on how someone is truly feeling by what they type.   text can be elaborative and descriptive, but isnt quite as sincere as pure emotion.   it just lacks........ realness.

i hope people dont forget how to talk with one an another.  sometimes you just have to peel your eyes off the screen and listen instead.

so yes, i have a xanga and am somewhat of a hypocrite for this, yes i will keep posting new entries, and yes, i am off my soapbox now.

All night buzz on a line
It’s only blood on the rime
Wrecks my head every time
It leads me on

i still refuse to get a myspace, but i found something that is a bit entertaining.  if you like pictures, you should check it out, its quite intriguing. http://www.piczo.com   my personal one is http://www.BulletInTheBlueSky.piczo.com  ,still under construction, but if you create one, let me know, so we can be buddies : )

our cable has been gone for quite some time now.  i havent missed it too much.  but i believe that i am having VH1 withdrawals after watching music videos every morning in our hotel room during golf earlier this week.  the tune tube addiction has got its hold on me.

its really nice to see everything green again.  seemed like it happened suddenly, like the world was playing 'hide and seek' and was suddenly found guilty of hiding behind our eyes.
